Seavane Pacific International is able to cater for all tastes and can offer a wide variety of programmes, short or long term, throughout Queensland.
Our Host Families are from diverse backgrounds with like interests and requirements.
Essentially, Students will be given the opportunity to learn about Australian culture, tradition, history and future direction.
As a result of extensive research, Seavane Pacific International recognises that for the Homestay Programme to be successful, the following points must be achieved: To ensure that the Student enjoys a stay of happiness and comfort. It is vital that the planning and preparation for the visit is of the utmost importance.
The Student must know what is expected of them in behaviour and responsibilities.
To The Family is also briefed on their responsibilities to the Student. The initial meeting of the Student and Family as total strangers could present feelings of shyness and perhaps the problem of language barriers. Each Family is issued with a pamphlet of useful phrases in Japanese/English. Staff of Seavane Pacific International are on call at any hour of the day to assist with any problem that may occur between Family and Student.

To be certain that there is complete understanding between the Student and the Host family, the following details of administrative responsibility is stated below:
FOR SEAVANE PACIFIC INTERNATIONAL Details obtained on both the Students and Families (including likes, dislikes, food, schooling, sports and recreational activities) ensures that both will be as compatible as possible. Staff are on-call 24 hours a day to liaise between Student and Family. Host families are strictly screened to ensure that all Students are placed within a home that meets our high standards. Host Families will be provided with a pamphlet of useful phrases in Japanese/English, also a detailed itinerary of the Student's programme and forward arrangements is supplied.
FOR THE HOST FAMILY Breakfast and evening meals will be provided by the Host Family. Lunch on various outings is provided. However, if it is not supplied, the Host family will supply lunch in the form of cut sandwiches, fruit and drink. The Student also has the option to buy their own lunch. Transport the students to the designated School and to collect at the cessation of the School day. This also applies for various recreational and educational outings. Ensures the Student is cared for in every way possible, extending the feeling of friendship and family togetherness. Assist the student in their quest to learn to speak the english language. Whilst the Student will be briefed in banking, post offices, medical, and local attractions, the Host family would be requested to reassure and assist the Student with any requirements.
FOR THE STUDENT To endeavour to learn as much English as possible during their stay. To make their own beds and to keep their room tidy. To supply their own toiletries, postage stamps, stationary etc. To pay for all their own telephone calls. To advise the Host family of any health problems or medical procedures that need attending to.
By implememting the above criteria, Seavane Pacific International is confident that the Student and Host Family will have a positive and rewarding experience, which will result in life long friendships formed through the Seavane Pacific International Homestay Programme
